The requirements for the heating of greenhouses differ significantly from those of industry. For this reason, Kübler has developed special agricultural heating. Patented solutions include the sophisticated design features of the components and the low-NOx burner head (Type Agrarnox®). The burner head developed specially for greenhouse heating significantly reduces the emissions of NOx and unburnt exhaust gas constituents, which enables CO2 fertilisation with gas infrared heating.

Optimum CO2 fertilisation

The exhaust gases can be evenly distributed in the greenhouse through outlet vents. Once the desired CO2 concentration in the greenhouse air has been reached, the exhaust gas is emitted as usual into the open - the heating can still be operated. The ventilation flaps remain closed, eliminating heating with an “open window”.

Better plant hygiene

The infrared beams warm the plants and the substrate, but without heating the entire greenhouse air. The shorter drying time of the plants prevents the formation of spores and leads to better plant hygiene. In combination with the optimum CO2 fertilisation, this saves on the use of plant protection agents.

Stable despite the moist climate

The greenhouse heating is insensitive to thermal instability and resistant against moisture, spray water and rust, thanks to the use of stainless steel. It benefits from dirt- and dust-repellent properties due to a special coating. Flexible and energy-saving. The reflectors can be adapted to a wide range of greenhouse types and sizes and are easy to install, due to their low weight. The higher the greenhouse and the greater the air exchange rates, the more energy can be saved with infrared systems in comparison to conventional greenhouse heating systems. Greenhouse sections can be regulated independently of each other. In winter, the heating can be switched off for protection against frost.
